I agree. The contrast is exceptional and very slight. While the lit up parts of the statue almost blend into the building in the backdrop, the shadows from the darker parts of the statue allow the viewer to establish an almost negative silhouette. It looks as if Sr. Artigas is heroically emerging out of the building like a historic time traveler ejecting from a quantum tear in the space/time continuum. This photograph seems to emphasize that in order to move forward one must look towards the past. It predicts that no matter what advancements and developments may occur, the outline of a patriot will always shine from its embedded place within that development. All of the success of the present can be linked to the successes of the past.

These children are beautiful. You’ve really captured their thoughts of you, hehe! I love the first photo of the little girl in the red dress, and the others as well. Thank you to the staff who sacrifice their lives, with their whole hearted dedication, these children have a future!
