We ventured into this yurt village to eat lunch with the nomads that still roam the Mongolian countryside. For a few bucks we ate some fresh vegetables and deep fried goat filled Mongolian hot pockets. The cuisine was lacking, but it was worth it to be in the midst of people who have lived the same way for over a thousand years.

Mongolia – Yurt Village
Sunday, March 15th, 2009Mongolia – Cars, Carts, and Feet
Wednesday, March 4th, 2009In the capital city of Mongolia, UlanBaatar seeing horse drawn carts next to cars is not an uncommon site. When this picture was taken in was -30 celsius, and I was not a happy camper. The people of Mongolia take deep pride in their heritage, and why not, they did conquer most of the known world when they were vastly outnumbered.
